Growing Tomato PlantsThe tomato plant is an extremely common garden plant, not only in the USA but all over the world and it is one of the few plants known to outgrow its gardeners demand. Suitable for almost any food product that can be imagined, and although tomatoes can be bought at any store in the world, growing tomato plants has become one of the top hobbies of all time. To be growing tomato plants by yourself, check your climate because tomatoes do not like cold temperatures, not even at night. If you live in a part of the world where the temperature tends to drop, even at summer nights, you should consider building a greenhouse for growing tomato plant in. It does not have to be fancy, and old window above a container should do nicely. It does not have to be much than that because the main idea is to keep the heat from the sunlight from the day with your growing tomato plants during the entire night. And sun is something that your growing tomato plant will need lots of. At least 8 hours a day is a minimum, if that isn’t possible you can do like the Russians. Also consider to build your container so that the soil line is somewhat above ground level, this will make it easier to keep the soil well drained for your growing tomato plants. Once the tomatoes becomes red they are ready to be harvested and eaten, although I don’t prefer to pick tomatoes from the growing tomato plants that I’m not going to use right away, they can actually be stored in the refrigerator for quite some time. If you wish to store them you might consider picking them when the start to redden and then let them ripe during storage
